Job Description
Administrative Assistant - Student Services
Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the following:
+ Manage department operating budget
+ Research, request bids, and purchase equipment, furnishings, publications, office supplies and services.
+ Interact with vendors and Accounts Payable and Procurement concerning purchases and payments.
+ Manage the hiring and termination process for staff and student employees and serve as liaison with Human Resources.
+ Manage employee time tracking which includes vacation and sick time.
+ Interact with University Counsel as needed
+ Plan and manage events including small conferences, meetings, training, and office celebrations/activities
+ Oversee office maintenance, environmental health, and safety.
+ Obtains and provides Legal Counsel all required information for subpoenas.
+ Makes budget recommendations to manage and reduce operating costs.
+ Serves as a backup to Cash Services in the processing of student payments.
Hiring Range: $27.47/hr to $34.34/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.
This is an in-person position.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Two years in an administrative support role required, preferably in a university setting.
