Position Overview
The Learning Program Specialist is a critical role in the success of Burlington’s growth strategy to attract, develop and retain the best talent. They will foster a culture of learning with a primary focus on understanding, planning and delivering holistic learning and development solutions for the merchandising organization. The Program Specialist will work with multiple business partners to identify development gaps and learning opportunities for key roles within the business. They will recommend and/or develop learning experiences incorporating other business tools and resources with the goal of creating a learning environment that prepares individuals for their role as well as development through their career. Other deliverables include in class training support, eLearning, facilitated classroom sessions, guides, QRCs, etc.
A Day In The Life
+ Oversee and coordinate established learning programs, positioned as the program point-person, coordinator, and learning subject matter expert. Programs inclusive of on-the-job skills training, onboarding and continued learning needs.
+ Foster mutually beneficial partner relationships with stakeholders to identify skills gap and business needs and recommend opportunities for continued improvement to training materials and program design.
+ Collaborate with other specialist counterparts to deliver cohesive learning experience across all learning programs and business areas.
+ Participate in learning design projects from start to finish, including project scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and implementation.
+ Conduct annual and ad hoc reviews of learning material with business partners and SMEs ensuring content is up to date and in the correct timing of the learning curriculum.
+ Gather feedback on the impact of learning programs and materials
+ Review and assess feedback with team to ensure achievement of desired business outcomes
+ Create/update training materials to support desired business objectives and outcomes.
+ Facilitate instructor led classes in partnership with internal and external subject matter experts, coaches and trained-trainers (varying levels of management/leadership).

+ Working in the NYC office collaborating with other Learning Specialists and business partners
+ Ability to build relationships, influence, and manage learning success
+ Drive results as identified by the goals of internal talent development and merchandising performance objectives.
You'll Come With
+ 3+ years of experience working within a merchandising organization (buying, planning, or merchandising operations) or in learning and development program development and/or management.
+ The ability to actively engage merchandising learning audiences, in-person and virtually.
+ Strong organization and planning skills to successfully drive learning program objectives, calendar management, learner enrollment, and reporting.
+ A Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
+ A certificate in learning and development, or project management a plus.
+ The ability to develop and facilitate effective learning material and experiences within programs.
+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Smartsheet preferred.
+ Knowledge of learning management system structures preferred, ideally Workday Learning.
+ Experience working in or with different styles of learning software including but not limited to – Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva preferred.
+ Flexibility to support the training and programs related to the roles they are responsible for.
+ Travel to other offices is occasionally needed depending on the business area. NJ, NY and CA.
