    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a skilled and driven **Civil Engineer** to join our **Buildings and Places Division** in **Atlanta, Georgia** , specializing in **fueling system infrastructure** . This position is ideal for professionals with 2+ **years of experience** who are ready to take on increased responsibility in the design, coordination, and delivery of complex fuel system projects, including but not limited to facilities for the **receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution** of aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline.

    The responsibility of this position includes, but are not limited to:

    + Play a key role in the design of civil components for fueling infrastructure projects, including aviation jet fuel, diesel, ethanol, and motor gasoline systems

    + Prepare site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, and utility designs

    + Perform advanced engineering calculations and analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD)

    + Review and approve technical drawings, plans, and specifications; mentor junior engineers in drafting and design standards

    + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget

    + Manage and organize project components, including specifications, construction drawings, design analyses, and documentation

    + Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards

    + Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables

    + Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices; contribute to internal knowledge sharing and innovation

    + Support proposal development and business development efforts as needed

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field +2 years of more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    + U.S. Citizenship required due to project requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) certification preferred

    + 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, preferably in fueling systems or infrastructure projects

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software

    + P.E. (Professional Engineer) license or active progress toward licensure strongly preferred

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

    + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

    + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Experience with permitting and regulatory compliance

    + Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to team development

    + Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project needs

    + Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

    + Relocation is not available for this role

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00.
