Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Manager Supply Chain 1** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization. This leadership role is located **onsite** in **Palmdale, CA** . The position is supporting our **4/10 Second Shift** with a standard work schedule of **Monday - Thursday from 4:12 pm-2:42 am** .
Responsibilities include:
+ Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
+ Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
+ Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
+ Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
+ Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff.
+ Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience, OR a Master's degree and 2 years of related experience, OR a High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years of related experience as defined below
+ Related experience includes supply chain, logistics, production control, materials, procurement or quality
+ Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
+ Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a warehousing environment
+ Must have Inventory Control experience
+ Must have working knowledge of SAP
+ Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
+ Current Active DoD Secret Clearance to apply/start
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Experience working with high volume, complex and fast paced environment
+ Experience with complex products within the Aerospace industry
+ SAP Production Control or Inventory Control MRP experience
+ Excellent working knowledge using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
+ Strong communication skills and orientated for teamwork and objective results.
+ A proactive attitude and ability to work under pressured environment.
Primary Level Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $160,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
