Three (3) years of full-time administrative or related experience (student experience may be considered). **Preferred Qualifications:** Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Business Administration or related field. Experience working in higher education administration. Experience managing large-scale projects. **Brief Description of Duties:** Serves as a resource to all units with the Career Center: career development, experiential education, employer and alumni engagement. Manage daily operations, data collection and tracking, marketing and communications, systems administration, and reporting. Successful candidates are strong analytical thinkers that have the ability to analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and utilize problem solving skills to find creative solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Incumbent must have a knack for simplifying complex processes and implementing best practices that save time and resources and strong written communication skills. Incumbent must bring positivity, resourcefulness, adaptability, communication, interpersonal skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Operations/Administration:

    + Provide leadership to daily operations, and related policies and procedures, administration, technology, and assessment ensuring all processes run efficiently and effectively.

    + Manage onboarding/offboarding of pro-staff.

    Project / Event Management:

    + Utilize software tools to organize projects and processes.

    + Management of calendars and reservations for Career Center spaces.

    + Collaborate with staff to re-organize and maintain pro-staff e-resource libraries and tools.

    + Event logistics and management.

    Data Collection / Tracking /Reporting:

    + In collaboration with Senior Operations and Data Analyst, evaluate and improve procedure and timelines for collection and organization of data to support goals and objectives, including technology inventory and documentation of student internship placements.

    + Work with unit leaders to collect and organize feedback from stakeholders about the value of our reports.

    + Draft reports for external stakeholders.

    Professional Development and Committee Involvement:

    + Participate in opportunities that promote their learning, growth, and development (i.e., classes, training, committees, webinars).

    + Contribute to the Division of Student Affairs and Stony Brook University by attending and/or supporting events, activities, and programs sponsored by areas within and outside the Office of Student Life (i.e., campus-wide traditions, events, programs).

    + Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

    + Evening and weekend work may be required at times.

    Special Notes:

    This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

     

    **Salary** : $65,000 $4,000 Location Pay = $69,000 Total Compensation

     

    In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.

     

    **Essential Position:** This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed. Positions that are designated as such may be required to report to work/remain at work even if classes are canceled, and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
