Job Description:
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for the direction, control, coordination, evaluation, compliance monitoring and training for all inventory control processes aligning to the Network Inventory Control Policies across a multi-site distribution network. Managing budgeted targets and continually improving year-over-year results. Responsible for overall associate engagement, retention, and safety.
Here’s what you’ll do:
+ Develop, monitor, and manage site shrink budget on a daily, weekly, period, quarterly and yearly basis.
+ Oversee the compliance, training, and auditing of DC site Inventory Control leaders on all Inventory Control processes for West DC locations, including all inventory counts, variance reconciliation, selection audits / quality assurance, product re-positioning, code date management, and product slotting.
+ Oversee inventory reconcile records to ensure a complete and accurate count.
+ Maintain cycle count program compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls for inventory management.
+ Proactively monitors key indicators. Communicates and resolves problems preventing financial impacts. Reviews weekly and monthly financial performance across all assigned sites to achieve budgeted goals.
+ Partners with Operational Leadership to provide timely root cause/resolution of operational issues impacting inventory stability.
+ Partners with Network Slotting team on the slotting/re-slotting for each item across all network distribution centers to optimize material handling efficiency.
+ Review customer credit requests on a daily/weekly basis to ensure that all customers are serviced with integrity and diligence.
+ Oversees selection auditing / quality assurance area to support service to our customers. Partners with Operational Leadership to resolve accuracy issues and concerns found during internal selection auditing process.
+ Responsible for all multi-site IC departmental management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates.
+ Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best Inventory Control practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance.
+ Lead and execute strategic continuous improvement projects.
+ Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here’s what you’ll need:
+ Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
+ 7+ years facility level or preferably multi-site inventory management or internal audit experience related to inventory movement.
+ Demonstrated best-in-class results managing inventory for medium to large complex distribution centers.
+ 3+ years of supervisory experience.
+ Strong knowledge/experience of operational process execution including selection, replenishment, loading and receiving functions.
+ Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing skills, oral and written communication, organizational, prioritization, problem solving and analytical skills.
+ General experience operating with a warehouse management system (shipping/receiving and inventory control)
+ Working knowledge of inventory SOX controls and testing.
+ Proven understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
+ Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and Word skills.
+ Strong drive for results/experience in a metrics driven organization.
+ Ability to travel up to 75%. Must enjoy multi-site responsibility.
