CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect for our client in Jersey City, NJ.
**Location:** Jersey City, NJ
**Duration:** 12 months
Overview:
CTG is seeking an experienced Application Architect to drive the design and modernization of Java and web-based applications for our client. You’ll define architecture standards, lead application rationalization initiatives, and manage Azure cloud migrations, all while collaborating with cross-geo teams and vendors in a fast-paced telecom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
+ Define and enforce architecture and technology standards for Java and web applications.
+ Apply enterprise architecture principles, including SOA, Web Services, and design/architectural patterns.
+ Lead modernization and rationalization of legacy applications, integrating with enterprise tools like ServiceNow CMDB.
Cloud & Integration
+ Manage Azure cloud migrations for complex applications and interfaces.
+ Integrate applications with enterprise systems and maintain high availability using WebLogic/WebSphere clustering.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Partner with multiple scrum teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure architecture alignment.
+ Provide technical guidance and reporting on architecture initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Strong Java & Web Technologies background: Java, JEE (Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF), EJB, JSP/Servlets, JPA, JAX-RS/WS, concurrency.
+ Enterprise Architecture experience: SOA, Web Services, WebLogic/WebSphere, clustering.
+ Telecom experience preferred, including familiarity with AT&T tools, methods, and processes.
+ Hands-on experience with Application Rationalization programs and cross-geo team collaboration.
+ Azure cloud expertise and ServiceNow CMDB integration.
+ Proven experience as an Application Architect or senior Java developer in telecom environments.
+ Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, TDD, and vendor management.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
