Minimum Experience 0 Summary The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board’s Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate and graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board’s internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes. Position Requirements About the Team & Role The Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) Section is an embedded technology innovation and solutions team that manages and supports the use of all information technology in our Division of International Finance. To support the mission of the division, the section creates custom web applications, maintains non-traditional databases, and leads the use of innovative techniques in statistical and graphical analysis of economic data. The section is also heavily involved in the organization’s transition from on-prem to cloud technologies and infrastructure for all aspects of the data analysis life cycle.    ITS is looking for an undergraduate or graduate intern to join our agile team of software developers, UX designers, and data scientists in support of the Division’s big data and cloud infrastructure work and to provide support to any other special development projects or initiatives that might occur during this time.   About You (Background & Skills) Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Info Sys Management, Data Analytics, or related, graduating Aug '26 or later. Experience (including coursework) with one or more of Python, R, R Shiny, SQL, Shell, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sharepoint Online, Office 365, Microsoft Power BI, Geospatial data analytics, AWS, Git/GitLab, Apache Hadoop, Airflow General experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) is desirable, but not required if the candidate has similar experience or applicable coursework.   Please upload a copy of your resume & an unofficial transcript prior to submitting your application.   Requirements U.S. Citizenship required.
