    Position: Occupational Therapist

     

    Schedule: Full-time | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

     

    Includes every 4th weekend and 2-3 holidays per year

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work with patients across the lifespan, using advanced clinical skills to assess, treat, and support recovery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

    What You'll Do:

    + Provide personalized occupational therapy assessments and treatments for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

    + Develop and adjust care plans based on patient progress and clinical judgment.

    + Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and collaborate with the broader care team.

    + Document all services accurately and thoroughly, including assessments, follow-ups, and discharge summaries.

    + Educate patients and families with clear home care instructions.

    + Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and student supervision.

    + Maintain licensure through ongoing professional development.

    + Support research and academic partnerships within the Rehabilitation Institute.

    Education & Certification:

    + Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program.

    + Active state license required.

    + CPR certification (AHA-compliant) within 30 days of hire.

    + Must hold or be eligible for:

    + NBCOT certification

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR

    + Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearances (with renewal)

    Skills & Competencies:

    + Strong understanding of human development across the lifespan.

    + Ability to interpret medical records and apply clinical reasoning.

    + Skilled in organization, delegation, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.

    + Effective written and verbal communication.

    + Ability to identify referral growth opportunities and contribute to team goals.

    + Comfortable working with both abstract and concrete clinical variables.

    Professionalism:

    + Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

    + Preferred: Active involvement in professional healthcare organizations.

    + Must complete all required system, facility, and department-specific orientations.
