Position Summary:
We are seeking an Interim Plant Controller (Consulting) to support a leading private equity-backed manufacturer of residential and commercial hard-surface flooring, during a critical post-acquisition integration phase. This fully on-site role in Cartersville, GA will play a key part in the operational finance setup of a newly acquired plant, with responsibilities ranging from day-one inventory counts to ERP integration and standards development.
Essential Duties:
• Assist with post-close financial integration of newly acquired manufacturing site.
• Lead month-end close and variance analysis.
• Support day-one physical inventory counts and fixed asset reconciliation.
• Collaborate on ERP (Infor M3) integration and standard costing setup.
• Prepare plant performance reports and analyze production metrics.
• Model new product costs and capital projects.
• Partner with plant leadership to identify cost savings and operational improvements.
• Coach and mentor on-site finance team during the transition period.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years’ finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience with ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred).
• Experience supporting private equity-backed businesses is highly preferred.
• Big 4 or national public accounting background is a strong plus.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on and collaborative approach.
• Capable of managing tactical accounting tasks while supporting strategic initiatives.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working in high-change or post-acquisition environments.
**Travel Requirements:** No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

**Salary Range:** SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable annualized range for this role is $130,000–$160,000, with flexibility depending on qualifications.
