Job Description:
Flight Engineering is looking for a motivated and talented engineer to join the team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. The candidate supports Sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GN&C, performance analysis, simulation solutions, Nuclear Hardness and Survivability, and inertial instruments. The selected candidate will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:
Gather system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C), sustainment requirements definition
Perform & document analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools
Support reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
Support testing and troubleshooting of sustainment related products / service anomalies and incidents
Participate in Minuteman III Guidance efforts to ensure End of Life (EOL) can be sustained or surpassed
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Required Skills:
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer
9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience and coursework in Control Systems or Guidance, Navigation and Control System design
Preferred Skills:
Experience with simulation and/or system/component modeling
Experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques
Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems
Experience with auto-coding of software
Experience or coursework in computer programming in C, C#, C++, Ada or other common programming languages
Minuteman III Guidance system knowledge
