    PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer 3, in Ridley Park, PA. Job ID#213313

    Job Description:

    Integrates contractual and Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

    Project/day-to-day activities:

    Supporting production

    REQUIRED:

    - Ability to read and retain complex specifications and Blueprint reading and CAD systems

     

    - Root cause and corrective action - Troubleshooting complex problem (Problem solving)

     

    - Manufacturing experience _Composite is ideal but rare, Automotive is next best, fabrication of large products like refrigerators or some mass produced thing

     

    - Technical writing skill

     

    - Statistical experience or working with sets of data – ideal if some programming for DB search

    PREFERRED:

    - Flexibility to work on high mix of actions

     

    - Time management

     

    - Team building

     

    - Ability to work with defects and problems and maintain a positive or at least forward progress mentality.

     

    - Independent work

    Required** **Certifications:

    Bachelors of arts and ASQ Quality Engineer certificate

    Education / Experience:

    Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
