    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, and quality of the SANE program. This role ensures that patients who have experienced sexual violence receive timely, compassionate, and expert forensic care. The Coordinator provides clinical leadership to the SANE team, including scheduling, mentoring, and training of SANE nurses, while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This position serves as a liaison between the healthcare system, law enforcement, advocacy agencies, and the judicial system to promote a multidisciplinary and trauma-informed response to sexual assault. The SANE Coordinator also plays a key role in program development, community outreach, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

    + Associate Degree

    + Three (3) years of nursing experience

    + Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact

    + AHA BLS

    + SANE Training

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

    + Clinical management experience preferred

    + Experience as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner preferred
