Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) leader with pediatric emergency care experience who is ready to take the next step in your career? Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations in our Pediatric Emergency Department as well as our primarily adult Observation Unit. This is a unique opportunity to lead in a quaternary care, Level I Trauma Center that serves both pediatric and adult populations—a role designed for nurse leaders who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and want to make a meaningful impact across the continuum of emergency and observation care.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for evaluating, providing, and improving nursing services through efficient and effective planning, directing, coordinating, and optimizing both human and material resources. In this highly visible role, you will:
• Lead and support clinical teams in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Observation Unit
• Partner with physicians and interprofessional teams to ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care
• Mentor and develop staff while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive outcomes, improve processes, and enhance patient experiences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
+ Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Master's Degree in Nursing required.
+ Five (5) years clinical experience required.
+ Progressive leadership experience required.
+ Current RN license in Pennsylvania or multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact
