    Job Description

    This is a non-merit, temporary position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

     

    The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a temporary Resident Aide to work in the Resident Services Department.

     

    Duties include: - Escort residents to and from hair care appointments, pushing occupied adult sized wheelchairs. - Assist in activity centers with projection preparation when not escorting.

     

    Hours are 8:30 A.M.-3 P.M., 2-3 days a week (no weekends), maximum 15 hours per week.

     

    Current wage is $12.76.
