About the Role & Program:

WPVI-TV, a Disney **/** ABC–owned television station in Pennsylvania, is the most-watched television station in the Philadelphia Television market. WPVI’s evening news is one of the highest-watched evening broadcasts in the country!

The WPVI Technology team is responsible for crafting and maintaining the broadcast, IT, and newsroom systems that enable WPVI to create and deliver the news every day!

What You Will Do:

Every single day you will be rolling up your sleeves metaphorically and truly to get to the bottom of all problems we face. On some days you could spend time with our production teams to understand their workflows and then meet with engineers to propose and implement timesaving solutions. Then on the next day, you could work with a design engineer to put together an equipment list for a new studio build and ensure delivery will meet our needs.

As the intern you could be working with senior engineers and project managers helping to:

+ test new software deployments

+ develop training materials

+ tackle broadcast issues as they come up.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

+ Familiar with basic video production including installation of equipment

+ Understanding of Television Production Workflows

+ Desire to be part of a fast-paced agile organization

+ Attention to detail, exacting standards, and outstanding organizational skills

+ Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Video Production, or related major

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with Broadcast Production & Distribution Systems

+ Understanding of the network affiliate relationship model

+ Previous work or intern experience in the field of television

Education:

+ Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

+ Be at least 18 years of age

+ Possess unrestricted work authorization

+ Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information:

+ The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026

+ Fully available for the duration of the internship working 20 hours each week

+ Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area

+ Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area

The pay rate for this role in Pennsylvania is $22.50 per hour.
