    Description:

    Our client, an industry leader in financial services and investment management, has an excellent opportunity for a Linux Systems Engineer in Test to work on a 12+month contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid/remote schedule in Salt Lake City, UT. The Linux Systems Engineer will work closely with engineering teams to deploy applications and customer support and business teams to coordinate incident response. You will also work with enterprise infrastructure teams to maintain and support on-prem non-production and production infrastructure.

     

    _Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

     

    Rate: $52 - $56 / hr. w2

    Responsibilities:

    + System Administration in Linux and Windows

    + Develop monitoring and management tools and processes

    + Accurately estimate work requirements and create detailed plans

    + Document processes and best practices

    + Communicate effectively in team environment

    + Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction

    + Participate in an on-call rotation

    Experience Requirements:

    + Linux systems administration experience required

    + Experience supporting Java and Tomcat applications desirable

    + Application development experience desirable

    + Developing Internet based applications that operate in a client/server environment desirable

    + Application performance testing experience desirable

    + Pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing the following stack or like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, Kubernetes

    + Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and security findings with engineering teams

    + Excellent communication skills required

    + Strong problem resolution skills required

    + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment required

    Education Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

     

    _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
