    A government client of Insight Global is looking to add a Roadway Engineer to their them. This engineer plays a vital role in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure. This position involves technical design, project management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable roadway systems.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelors degree (Civil or Structural Engineering)

    • Experience with hydraulic modeling and stormwater drainage design

    • Experience collaborating with urban planners, environmental consultants, and government agencies.

    • Experience analyzing traffic patterns and optimizing roadway layouts

    • Experience conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the development of design plans, schedules and budgets for roadway projects.

    • Applies appropriate engineering principles, practices and regulatory requirements to roadway design projects.

    • Assists with managing external design consultants.

    • Analyzes and review design plans, plan quantities, survey data, utility relocation plans, and maps in accordance with general engineering principles, reference manuals, standard drawings, and specifications.

    • Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.

    • Prepares engineering reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and environmental impact studies and bid packages for solicitation.

    • Prepare project related displays and graphics for public meetings and website content.

    • Performs field checks to document field conditions, gather measurements, and verify design feasibility.

    • Bridge and/or structural inspections

    • Bridge and/or structural design including: PE Certification

     

    NHI (Bridge License) Certification

     

    Bar lists/schedules

     

    Shop drawing review

     

    CADD (Bentley Microstation)
