Safety Coordinator – Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator helps ensure a safe work environment by following OSHA rules and company safety policies. They work with project teams and safety leadership to train employees, inspect job sites, investigate incidents, and improve safety programs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Site Safety (50%)
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Visit job sites daily to identify and fix hazards.
• Make sure employees follow safety rules.
• Keep records of site visits and safety issues.
• Work with supervisors to coach and correct unsafe behavior.
2. Compliance & Safety Programs (25%)
• Stay updated on OSHA and industry safety standards.
• Help update company safety policies.
• Create safety plans for specific job sites.
• Make sure safety rules are followed consistently.
• Support safety incentive programs when needed.
3. Incident Investigation & Reporting (20%)
• Investigate accidents and near misses.
• Write detailed reports and share findings.
• Keep accurate OSHA records and safety documentation.
4. Other Duties (5%)
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of safety experience in construction (electrical preferred).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA rules and construction safety.
• Comfortable working around electrical hazards, confined spaces, and excavation sites.
• Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Work Conditions
• Mostly on active construction sites (indoors/outdoors).
• Exposure to weather, noise, and uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
