Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Migration Developer to support a high-impact initiative to migrate certificate data from the enterprise system of record (Venafi) to ServiceNow on the Enterprise PKI and Crypto Technologies team at major financial institution. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing data migration processes, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical requirements and business rules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data migration tools and scripting, a strong understanding of data structures and transformation logic, and familiarity with PKI and certificate management systems. This is a fully on-site role requiring presence five days a week in one of the following locations: Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC or Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data migration workflows to transfer certificate data from Venafi to ServiceNow.

• Develop scripts and automation tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

• Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and Venafi engineers to ensure data model alignment.

• Validate migrated data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues and discrepancies.

• Document migration processes, mappings, and transformation logic.

• Support testing and quality assurance efforts for migrated data.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and security policies.

• Participate in project planning, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience in data migration, ETL development, or integration engineering.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL).

• Experience with ServiceNow and Venafi or similar certificate management platforms.

• Strong understanding of data structures, normalization, and transformation logic.

• Familiarity with PKI concepts and cryptographic data formats is a plus.

• Experience with REST APIs and data integration between enterprise systems.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
