Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Proship resource to work for one of our largest Retail clients. We are seeking a highly skilled ProShip Configuration and Maintenance Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize our ProShip multitenancy environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding new customers and carriers, configuring rate shop groups, ensuring system reliability through regular maintenance, and enhancing system performance. This role also involves supporting production, performing regression testing, and integrating performance monitoring tools.

* Looking to move away from Proship and implement new carrier solution, Shipium

* Looking for this person to cross-collab w/ production support team and engineers exclusively working on Proship

* Tasked with enhancements/feature requests

* System performance - automation/scripting, performance tuning, systems monitoring (Datadog/Splunk)

Team dynamics:

* Manager/SME (Proship)

* 2 engineers - sit in EST

* Prod support team (7 members) - sit in India

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience with ProShip shipping software configurations.

• Strong understanding of carrier systems, closeout processes, and label certifications.

• Proficiency in system maintenance, including scheduled updates, performance optimization, and data purging.

• Experience with integrating performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and DataDog.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform detailed regression testing.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain test cases and documentation.

• Preferred to have Retail and 3PL fulfillment domain

Configuration and Onboarding:

• Configure ProShip for multitenancy to support multiple clients seamlessly.

• Onboard new customers across various channels, ensuring efficient system integration.

• Set up new carriers and manage label certification processes.

• Configure carrier closeouts and customize manifest closeout settings.

• Create and manage rate shop groups for optimized carrier selection.

System Maintenance:

• Update carrier transit times (TNTs) and rate cards as per schedule or requirements.

• Apply scheduled updates to carrier engines and perform server maintenance.

• Implement data purging strategies specific to carriers to improve system performance.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regression testing for significant configuration changes to ensure system stability.

• Maintain and update regression test cases in the server chat repository.

Performance Monitoring and Enhancements:

• Integrate ProShip with Splunk and DataDog for real-time performance monitoring and alerting.

• Enhance ProShip Office capabilities to capture and analyze custom metrics.

Production Support:

• Provide timely production support for label generation and related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
