Job Description
The Sourcing Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned commodities for a global organization. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and drives cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring supply chain resilience. Operating in a hybrid environment, the specialist collaborates cross-functionally to optimize cost, quality, and delivery outcomes. Expertise in Excel, Oracle ERP, and sourcing methodologies is essential, along with a strong understanding of supplier management, purchasing principles, and contract law.
• As a Sourcing Procurement Specialist, you will:
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts for assigned commodities, including supplier selection, service level agreement management, and contract review and negotiation.
• Manage supplier relationships in collaboration with internal stakeholders, acting as the primary liaison for all external supplier interactions. This includes maximizing value, setting expectations, and fostering strong partnerships.
• Maintain expertise in assigned commodities, staying current on industry trends, new products, and materials. You’ll also oversee the introduction of new items in a cost-effective and operationally beneficial manner.
• Drive supplier onboarding and integration, leveraging tools such as market analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), and RFQ/RFI processes.
• Ensure supply chain resilience by maintaining, re-evaluating, and expanding reliable primary and secondary sources to promote healthy competition.
• Collaborate across UL teams to optimize cost, delivery, and quality outcomes for the organization.

Skills and Requirements
• University Degree (Equivalent to a U.S. Bachelors' degree) in Business Administration or a related field.
• 2 years of procurement experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, specifically with analyzing spend data/market analysis.
• Oracle ERP system experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high value medium complexity sourcing teams.
• Detailed knowledge of Sourcing and Supplier Management, purchasing principles, negotiating techniques and principles, and business and contract law.
