    About the Role:

    As a Cloud Ops Engineer II - Vulnerability Remediation, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and executing the remediation of known security vulnerabilities across enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role works closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure timely and effective patching, configuration updates, and system hardening in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

     

    + Remediate vulnerabilities identified by the cybersecurity team, including applying patches, configuration changes, and system updates.

    + Coordinate with infrastructure and application owners to schedule and implement remediation activities with minimal operational disruption.

    + Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g., SCCM, Ansible, PowerShell, Red Hat Satellite) to streamline patch deployment and reporting.

    + Validate remediation actions through testing and verification in staging and production environments.

    + Ensure systems remain current by applying the latest supported software versions, firmware, and patches in accordance with organizational lifecycle and security policies.

    + Document remediation procedures, exception handling plans, and compliance evidence for audits.

    + Support compliance with internal standards and external frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks).

    + Participate in post-remediation reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of patching and remediation processes.

    + Configure systems in alignment with industry-standard hardening guidelines (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs) to reduce attack surface and ensure compliance with internal security policies.

    + Responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining systems at Columbia Bank. This position is responsible for installing/configuring/maintaining systems, servers, client-based solutions, storage and applications

    + Intermediate knowledge of Server Operating Systems, Infrastructure systems, Enterprise application, Cloud Infrastructure

    + Researching, analyzing, recommending, and implementing solutions within their scope and enhancements. Requires the ability to systematically isolate technical issues and provide outstanding technical support to our clients.

    + Sharing rotation of on-call duties after hours and weekends to respond to emergency outages.

    + Preparing system solution designs, implementing complex enterprise-class systems and applications, analyzing the performance of infrastructure to assist with capacity planning, and performing system upgrades and monitoring the health of all systems, infrastructure andapplications..

    + Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

    + Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

    + Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

    + May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

    About** **You:

    + Bachelor's Degree in computer scienceor equivalent, and previous experience as a Systems Engineer.

    + 4-7 yearsofexperiencein system or network engineering with a proven track record of success.

    + Strong coordination, organization, troubleshooting and communication abilitiesrequired.

    + Experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or DevOps with a focus on patching and system maintenance.

    + Proven experience with building and maintaining systems and infrastructure.

    + Hands-on experience with patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).

    + Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

    + Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and interpreting remediation instructions provided by cybersecurity teams.

    + Experience working in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud) and with containerized platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

    + Excellent verbal and written communications.

    + Knowledge of trends in technology in multiple areas.

    + Positive attitude.

    + Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.

    + Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

    + Very strong customer service orientation.

    Our** **Benefits:

    We offer a competitive total rewards package including basewagesand comprehensive benefits. Thepayrange for this role is $75,000.00 - $130,000.00, and the pay rate for theselected candidate isdependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The rolemay beeligible for performance-based incentivecompensationand those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
