Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting faculty and provider compensation and clinical operations within the department. This position is responsible for calculating productivity-based compensation, including the analysis of visits, wRVUs, coding, collections, and procedures by provider, specialty, and clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development of annual clinical production budgets.
- Reviewing internal salary data and comparing it to regional and national benchmarks.
- Supporting updates to the department’s salary plan based on market trends and internal analysis.
- Implementing the department salary plan within the budget and ensuring accurate and timely compensation throughout the year.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance and transparency in compensation practices.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams. Strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly explain complex financial concepts to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process wRVU-based clinical incentive payments, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for faculty and providers.
- Develop and support the annual clinical operations budget, including analysis of visits, wRVUs, collections, and compensation changes.
- Conduct compensation analyses for faculty, providers, and staff, offering strategic recommendations and benchmarking against regional and national data.
- Maintain and update FTE tracking, payroll distributions, and effort certification, ensuring alignment with budget and operational needs.
- Create and manage budget variance reports, including unit cost variance analyses to identify cost drivers and support financial decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to analyze and model operational improvements, including productivity studies and new program initiatives.
- Design and present financial dashboards and visualizations, summarizing key operational and financial metrics for stakeholders.
Financial Analyst, II
Perform financial analysis on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc. Prepare forecasts and analysis on industry and general economic trends. Provide accurate and timely reports for performance monitoring. May be responsible for budget or cost analysis. Requires moderate skill set and proficiency in discipline. Conducts work assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
This is a Developing-Level position in the General Professional track.
