Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Technology Architect to join our growing specialty pharmacy chain. This role is pivotal in optimizing our use of the RedSail PioneerRx platform, extending its capabilities through custom development and integrations, and guiding our long-term technology strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of hands-on technical expertise, platform configuration knowledge, and strategic leadership in healthcare technology. This is a senior role reporting directly to the CIO.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. PioneerRx Configuration & Workflow Optimization
+ Analyze and configure Red Sail PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System to support efficient pharmacy workflows across all locations.
+ Implement and optimize advanced features such as:
+ Text messaging and patient communication tools
+ Patient portal and mobile app integration
+ Customized event triggers and “care plans”
+ Collaborate with pharmacy operations to ensure technology aligns with clinical and business needs.
2. Platform Extension & Custom Development
+ Deeply understand the architecture and extensibility of the PioneerRx platform.
+ APIs
+ Accessible Tables
+ Data scraping from existing interfaces
+ Design and develop custom applications including:
+ Prescriber, physician, and manufacturer portals
+ A unique patient-facing website
+ AI-powered IVR systems and chatbot integrations
+ Integrate PioneerRx with third-party systems such as:
+ Enterprise workflow management tools
+ Call center agent platforms
+ Insurance verification systems
+ Ensure all custom solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
3. Strategic Technology Leadership
+ Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in the specialty pharmacy and healthcare IT space.
+ Evaluate and recommend new vendors and platforms.
+ Develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
+ Present technology strategies and ROI analyses to senior leadership.
+ Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Configuring and optimizing RedSail PioneerRx, including advanced features.
+ Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, including deployment, security, and monitoring.
+ Leading developers on an IT Development project.
+ Supporting and driving vendors in integration.
+ Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing enterprise-level applications in a healthcare or pharmacy services environment.
+ Experience in strategic planning and execution of technology roadmaps and initiatives.
+ Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
+ Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
+ Proficiency in building secure web applications and APIs.
+ Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA compliance.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experiencein application management or a related role.
+ Proven track record of managing and supporting enterprise-level applications.
+ Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy services industry is preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
+ Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
+ Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
