**The community you'll be caring for:** AdventHealth Hendersonville

**The role you'll contribute:** Schedules patients for surgery and preoperative testing as indicated. Reviews patient medications and health histories, as needed.

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ Schedules patients for surgery and completes facility paperwork.

+ Obtains necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events with minimal call transfers or callbacks.

+ Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff using the method designated by the facility.

+ Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital and prepares and sends reservations for each case scheduled within established timeframes.

+ Responds to multiple inquiries from telephone, intercom, and direct communication regarding scheduling of surgery and the main operating room suite.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

+ High School Grad or Equivalent Required

+ 1 year of experience in a medical setting Required
