Position Title: Program Manager
School: NYU School of Global Public Health
Schedule: Full-Time
This Program Manager position will support the PI’s research about cervical cancer implementation science. All studies are international, conducted in close cooperation with partners in the study countries; this will be a US-based position to support the studies’ activities.
Key responsibilities:
+ Assist with all aspects of preparing for data collection and analysis, including: assisting with development and testing of data collection tools, monitoring data collection activities, producing regular data reports, cleaning data, performing basic statistical analyses, coding qualitative interviews, and participating in qualitative analysis.
+ Assist with disseminating research findings, with tasks that might include: creating tables and figures for visual presentation of results, contributing to manuscripts and conference abstracts (including copyediting, formatting, and submitting), and creating and formatting posters and PowerPoint slides for conference presentations and meetings.
+ Maintain records of study budgets and liaise with the PI and with all partners about invoices and projected spending.
+ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for data collection, data quality monitoring, and other procedures as required for study-specific operations.
+ Oversee IRB applications in both the US and in study country/ies; this includes renewals and amendments to protocols as needed, and monitoring the ethics certification status of all study personnel. In addition, assisting with clinical trial registration and associated documentation.
+ Maintaining study files in a clean and organized fashion including maintaining updated materials relevant to regulatory files.
+ Scheduling and participating in team calls, taking notes, disseminating call/meeting minutes, and tracking tasks and action items related to these calls.
+ Communicating with study teams in the US and abroad on a frequent basis via email, conference calls, WhatsApp, and Zoom, including to support progress of study activities.
+ (Possible) Develop, update, and monitor study surveys using SurveyCTO (a cloud-based data collection and storage platform based on Open Data Kit) and/or Qualtrics.
+ (Possible) Assist with future grant proposal submissions, including creating and maintaining tracking checklists, assistance with writing non-scientific components, and copy editing and formatting documents.
+ Assisting the PI with other tasks as needed.
Required:
+ MPH or similar degree with at least 3 years working/practical experience.
+ Experience with primary data collection, qualitative and/or quantitative.
+ Strong knowledge of research ethics, IRB processes, and data security.
Preferred:
+ Experience writing grant proposals and assisting with grant submissions.
+ Experience using SurveyCTO, or a similar Open Data Kit software for data collection and monitoring; and/or Qualtrics.
+ Experience coding qualitative data.
+ Experience working in a resource limited setting.
+ Experience working in global health, ideally cancer prevention and/or implementation science.
Essential Skills:
+ Ability to independently perform basic statistical analyses using Stata (or similar software program), including summary statistics, chi-square, t-tests, regression, and creation of manuscript-quality tables and figures.
+ Experience with preparing and submitting IRB applications and clinical trial registrations.
+ Proficiency with data management and cleaning.
+ Excellent writing skills and experience with scientific writing.
+ Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Excellent organizational skills (will be expected to balance multiple tasks, respond promptly to emails, re-prioritize tasks based on last-minute deadlines).
+ Strong initiative to take on tasks and be proactive with work.
+ Cultural sensitivity and familiarity with concepts of advancing equitable global health partnerships.
+ Willing and able to perform program assistance tasks such as coordinating meeting scheduling polls, scheduling meetings and conference calls, and formatting manuscripts.
+ Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
+ Able to travel to conferences and meetings (in the US and globally) as needed.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000.
