Job Description Summary
This role will own various aspects of LEAP engines controllership within the Commercial Engines division, with a significant focus on product line monthly and quarterly closing, reporting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, internal controls, and process improvements via FLIGHT DECK to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, maintaining financial and operational internal controls, and delivering operational excellence to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Responsible for ensuring LEAP engine invoicing is completed timely and accurately
+ Responsible for ensuring compliance with engines revenue recognition criteria
+ Responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis in accordance with GE policies
+ Responsible for keeping engine order details updated within Oracle
+ Assist with balance sheet analysis and variance commentary for monthly review and discussion with leadership
+ Own the accounting for customer allowances (Advanced Concessions and AD&A); ensure all payments are applied appropriately and analyze data regularly to reduce the risk of error
+ Implement FLIGHT DECK practices to advance the business priority of a 2 day close by 2026
+ Support internal and external audits
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in accounting).
+ Strong knowledge of Oracle functionality
+ Strong knowledge of Excel functionality
