    Role Overview:

    The Defense & Systems Market Analyst will play a critical role in supporting business strategy leaders by providing in-depth market data and analysis to inform strategic plans for business growth and competitiveness. This position is full-time and requires 2-5 years of experience in market research and data analysis, ideally with a focus on the defense industry. The analyst will develop datasets, identify trends, assess competitive landscapes, and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + **Create and maintain** a centralized defense market forecast and support the annual strategy review process through the creation of specific datasets.

    + **Monitor and interpret** government budgets, contracts, and funding priorities to assess potential business opportunities.

    + **Conduct comprehensive market research** within the defense sector, including Department of Defense (DoD) budget trends, emerging technologies, procurement trends, and policy changes.

    + **Analyze adjacent markets** to identify opportunities for GE Aerospace growth.

    + **Develop reports, presentations, and dashboards** to communicate findings and recommendations to business strategy leaders.

    + **Collaborate with cross-functional teams** (engineering, sales, and program management) to align market insights with business objectives.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for market research. They thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are skilled at translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business strategy.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, or a related field.

    + 2-5 years of experience in market analysis, business strategy, or a related role, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

    + Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.

    + Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) procurement processes, budgets, and contracting mechanisms.

    + Knowledge of key DoD programs, technologies, and industry players.

    + Understanding of lean principles and methodologies to lead the creation of standard processes.

    Additional Information:

    + **Primary Location** : Evendale, OH, with additional opportunities in Washington, DC.

    + **Scheduled Weekly Hours** : 40 hours per week.

    + **Work Authorization** : Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    + **Screening Requirements** : Background check and drug screening required.

    + The base pay range for this position is $102,000.00-122,000.00 USD Annual The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
