    Job Summary

    The Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative is seeking a Study Coordinator who can promote excellence across a newly funded diabetes study while maintaining the highest standards of organization and accountability. We are looking for someone who can navigate, identify challenges and solutions, and ensure all team members meet rigorous performance standards. The project includes managing multiple moving pieces, including intervention deployment and evaluation. The Study Coordinator will work within a collaborative team of 5 staff members and will maintain project timelines and serve as an important liaison across all organizational levels, from research assistants to investigator leadership. You will report to the Collaborative's Project Manager, Data Manager, and Principal Investigator.

     

    About Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative: Established in 2019, the Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative's mission is to advance the science on addressing social context in chronic disease management. The collaborative engages in interdisciplinary research and evaluation, working to translate research and innovations into clinical and public health practice and policy advancement.

    About the Department: The position will be based in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity. Turning theory and research into actionable practice, we develop interventions and innovations that promote health, prevent disease, and empower people to manage chronic illness and disabilities.     Responsibilities*

    **Project Coordination & Accountability:** Coordinate this large-scale project with unwavering attention to project protocols and timelines, proactive communication, and meticulous documentation standards to ensure project milestones are met without exception.

    **Strategic Operations:** Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improved processes, before they become problems, and maintain communication with the Project Manager and Data Manager to resolve emerging issues.

    **Multi-Level Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate across organizational hierarchies, from functional supervision of students and junior staff, to preparing presentations for co-investigators and external partners.

    **Data Integrity and Compliance:** Ensure adherence to data management protocols throughout the full data lifecycle from collection to analysis, and report any data integrity concerns to project leadership. and report any concerns regarding data integrity to project leadership.

    **Regulatory & Administrative Excellence:** Support administrative processes, including IRB applications, university contracts, and documentation and compliance across regulatory requirements.

    **Study Implementation:** Implement study protocols, procedures, and data collection instruments, anticipating challenges and ensuring smooth implementation.

    Required Qualifications*

    + **Educational Foundation:** Master's degree in Public Health or related field with 4-5 years of demonstrated research experience.

    + **Project Management Excellence:** Experience coordinating complex research studies with experience maintaining strict timelines and high-quality deliverables.

    + **Research Expertise:** Comprehensive understanding of research methods, data analysis, and the full research lifecycle from conception to publication.

    + **Technical Competency:** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, can maintain complex spreadsheets), demonstrated efficiency skills using AI tools for workflow optimization, and familiarity with REDCap and Qualtrics for data collection and management.

    + **Advanced Project Management:** Formal project management experience with complex, multi-partner research projects.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week, Monday- Friday

    We are using a hybrid work model. While there is flexibility in working from home, staff are required to come into the office two days per week.
