Description
Medical Associates is seeking a **full-time, Radiology Technologist Supervisor** to join their leadership team! This position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation and staffing of the Radiology Technologist function while also performing all major duties and responsibilities of the radiologic technologist role.
**Schedule:** _Core hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with flexibility required_
**Location:** Medical Associates East Campus and West Campus

Essential Duties:
+ Performing all major duties and responsibilities of the radiologic technologist role.
+ Perform supervisory duties to include but not limited to: managing efficient workflows, staff performance evaluations, managing performance concerns, schedules, selection, mentor and training of new staff.
+ Assist with the development, implementation and revision of Radiology exam protocols and workflows. Maintain all logs, service records, and other departmental documentation in an organized and easily retrievable system to assist in ensuring compliance, accreditation, legal, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
+ Provide input in departmental budget including equipment warranty/maintenance contracts and recommendations for equipment purchases.
+ Act as department liaison with vendors, service personnel, radiologists, clinical department supervisors and all external customers.
+ Complete all other assigned projects and duties
+ Maintain proper information in the radiology information system, tracking images to other various locations.
+ Apply principles of radiation protection to both patient and staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
_Experience:_ Five to ten years of similar or related experience
_Education:_ Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification. Board certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Iowa Permit to Practice Diagnostic Radiography.
_Interpersonal Skills:_ Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion.
_Other Skills:_ General radiographic imaging skills, PACS, Cerner, Hoyer lift operations, pigg-o-stat, gurney, wheelchair. Ability to work independently, multitask, complete quality exams in a fast-paced environment. Good computer skills, as well as, strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Aspects:
Climbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
Balancing - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing - Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Pushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling - Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction.
Subject to Physical Hazards - Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.
