    Candidates sought to provide support to the program manager with

     

    specific focus on technical project management. The Technical Project

     

    Manager will serve as the main interface between a performing company

     

    and DARPA. The ideal candidate is an experienced Technical Project

     

    Manager with background in Technology, Science or Mathematics. The

     

    successful candidate will assess individual technical and programmatic

     

    risks, track performer progress relative to plan, project anticipated

     

    performer outcomes, and ensure that project management best practices

     

    are followed at performers, within the independent verification and

     

    validation (IV&V) activities funded by DARPA, and within DARPA itself.

    Requirements:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

    (STEM)

    - Prior experience working in Science, Technology, Engineering or

     

    Mathematics field

     

    - At least 3 years of experience managing the execution of technical

     

    projects/programs

     

    - Experience coordinating and organizing multiple projects and teams

     

    in a fast-paced environment

     

    - Excellent communication skills; oral and written

     

    - Ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights into current

     

    and next-generation research topics

    Desired capabilities and characteristics:

    - Experience with technical project management

     

    - Experience working a program through its full life cycles

     

    - Demonstrated ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights

     

    into current and next generation research topics.

     

    - Experience supporting DoD or government-sponsored research

     

    activities

     

    - Demonstrated attention to detail

     

    - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

     

    - Flexible and readily adaptable to change

     

    - Familiarity with the DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual

     

    environment is a plus.

     

    - Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide

     

    support in a team within a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary

     

    work environment
