    Job Summary:

    **Caterpillar’s Integrated Components Division (ICD)** is seeking a **Digital Strategy Manager** to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will lead multiple consulting engagement modules to analyze, develop, and recommend Strategy & Planning (S&P) solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence.

     

    The **newly formed ICD** is a critical part of Caterpillar’s strategy to unlock new opportunities, accelerate innovation, and deliver greater value to our customers. ICD is responsible for the **design, development, and manufacturing** of a wide range of components, including:

     

    + Hydraulics

    + Ground Engaging Tools (GET)

    + Undercarriage

    + Precision Seals

    + Drivetrain Components

    + Cabs and Structures

     

    As we deliver for our customers, we do so as **one team** —creating and delivering world-class components and solutions that outperform the competition.

    What You Will Do:

    + Lead complex analyses and solution development for key S&P engagement modules at the divisional or business segment level.

    + Collaborate with internal clients to define business problems, identify issues, and shape strategic approaches.

    + Oversee data collection, research, and reporting activities, coach junior team members and guide client teams.

    + Develop and present strategic recommendations in partnership with senior consultants and managers.

    Education requirement:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Strategy, or a related field.

    What skills you will have:

    Strategic Thinking:

    + Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives focused on manufacturing transformation, operational excellence, and innovation.

    + Develop and execute long-term strategies that integrate Lean principles, digital automation, and quality improvement across production environments.

    + Align cross-functional teams around strategic priorities that drive cost reduction, scalability, and competitive advantage.

    + Translate high-level business objectives into actionable strategies for plant operations, supply chain optimization, and technology deployment.

    Data Gathering & Analysis:

    + Collect and analyze manufacturing, financial, and customer data to guide strategic planning and transformation efforts.

    + Leverage advanced analytics to uncover inefficiencies, identify automation opportunities, and support Lean and quality initiatives.

    + Build performance dashboards to monitor progress on digital transformation, operational KPIs, and strategic goals.

    + Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance for strategic decision-making.

    Decision Making & Critical Thinking:

    + Make informed decisions that balance cost, quality, and delivery in complex manufacturing environments undergoing transformation.

    + Apply structured problem-solving techniques to address strategic challenges across production, supply chain, and digital initiatives.

    + Lead scenario planning and risk assessments to support automation, Lean deployment, and quality strategy execution.

    + Influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams by presenting clear, data-driven recommendations aligned with long-term business goals.

    Effective Communication:

    + Present strategic roadmaps and transformation updates to senior leaders, plant managers, and technical teams across global manufacturing sites.

    + Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on Lean, quality, and automation objectives.

    + Develop clear, engaging communications to support change management and workforce adoption of new technologies and processes.

    + Translate complex data and strategic concepts into compelling narratives that drive alignment and action.

    Relationship Management:

    + Build strong partnerships across manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution.

    + Influence stakeholders to embrace Lean practices, digital tools, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

    + Navigate organizational dynamics to gain buy-in for transformation programs and strategic pivots.

    + Foster collaboration across global teams to ensure consistent execution of manufacturing strategies and innovation efforts.

    Customer Focus:

    + Integrate customer feedback into manufacturing strategy, product development, and quality improvement initiatives.

    + Align operational capabilities with evolving customer expectations around speed, customization, and reliability.

    + Lead initiatives that enhance product quality and delivery performance through Lean and automation strategies.

    + Ensure strategic decisions reflect customer value, long-term satisfaction, and competitive differentiation in the industrial sector.

    Additional Information:

    This position requires the candidate **to work onsite five days a week at the Dallas, TX office.**

     

    Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

    This position may require up to 50% travel.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
