In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in developing and fabricating patterns for simple designed cushion details and covers for cushion assemblies, using Pattern Making software. Interpreting sketches and verbal instructions. Capable of reverse engineering of products and have working knowledge of pattern development.     Main Function Responsibilities

     

    A) Works from complete blueprints and other written and verbal instructions.

     

    B) Responsible for layout and building of complete patterns using Pattern Making sofrtware.

     

    C) Sets up and cuts patterns to close tolerances.

     

    D) Reverse-engineer a product within the statement of work.

     

    E) Work with Cushion Development and vendors to maintain patterns to latest revisions.

     

    F) Maintains a high quality of workmanship and assumes responsibility for work performed in assigned duties.

     

    G) Maintains records and locations of patterns on tracking system.

     

    H) Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Candidate skills & requirements

    Qualification Requirements

    A. Education & Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent required.

    B. Work Experience/Technical knowledge: 1-2 years experience in pattern making and general assembly. Basic computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

    C. Professional Skills: Must have knowledge of scheduling and blueprints. Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

    D. Behavioral Skills: Comfortable with ambiguity and limited instruction. Accept responsibility, adaptability flexible. Must have the ability to drive major initiatives. Must be comfortable with multiple tasks

    E. Desirable Aspects: skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Pattern Making software

     

    Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job

     

    Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.

     

    HIRING BONUS: Qualified candidate will receive a $1,500 hiring bonus. $750 will be paid out at 90 & 180 days of continuous employment.
