    Job description

    In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Loads Engineer to join our growing team

    You will be undertaking:

    Load calculations used for sizing study of future aircrafts or for major MODs. Determination of:

     

    Ground loads (Landings, Brakings, Turns, Rollings, …).

     

    Flight loads (Longitudinal and Lateral Manoeuvres, Load Alleviation Functions, Gust, Failure cases …).

     

    Component loads : calculation of the loads on specifics parts (NCF, HTP, Ailerons, pylon, …).

     

    Aeroelastics calculation (Flutter calculations, control surfaces limit cycle oscillations).

    Candidate skills & requirements

    * Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree

    * Technical skills:

     

    Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, Aerodynamics.

     

    Know the behavior of an airplane, to have physical sense.

     

    Coding: vbA, Python

    Tools: Matlab

    * Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules

    * Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding

    * Team spirit with a capacity to interact with multicultural teams
