Lead Azure Cloud Engineer - VM Automation

Lead the development of our VM lifecycle automation factory using Ansible, integrating with Jira and observability platforms. Reporting directly to the Head of DevOps, you'll architect secure, tested solutions for VM provisioning, configuration, patching, and decommissioning.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement Ansible automation for complete VM lifecycle management
+ Integrate workflows with Jira, security scanning gates, and artifact retention
+ Build test frameworks and implement telemetry for operational visibility
+ Create comprehensive runbooks and troubleshooting documentation
+ Provide expert guidance on Azure VM configurations and best practices
+ Map Canonical CI attributes to CMDB fields and relationships
+ Lead collaborative sessions with cross-functional teams
Requirements
+ 10+ years Cloud Operations experience (B3/B4 level)
+ 5+ years specialized Azure platform expertise
+ Proven experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Azure Networking
+ OIDC-based authentication implementation knowledge
+ Strong automation testing and documentation skills
+ Collaborative approach with excellent communication abilities
+ Onsite work component required
+ Direct reporting to Head of DevOps
