Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Director, Industrialization you'll play a pivotal part on our Engineering team. The WWS Division Director of Industrialization is responsible for Industrialization and Work Transfer deliverables on all programs and projects, as well as sustaining manufacturing engineering in production, across the division. The selected director will deploy Safran's industrialization standards and support their execution on development projects and programs towards an efficient way to build our products.
This position contributes to our vision by:
•Lead the Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering and Work Transfer teams for the WWS Division.
•Support the team in developing and executing industrialization plans in accordance with standards and program goals.
•Support the Work Transfer team to execute approved projects and manage the overall Transfer of Work strategy for the division.
•Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in stabilizing and improving existing product lines.
•Coach, mentor and develop the management team.
•Evaluate individual performances and create individual development plans in order to facilitate merit promotions, job transfers, commendations, dismissals, etc.
•Is the bridge between Design Engineering and Manufacturing at Division level and provides feedback and expertise to both groups.
•Lead initiatives to implement new production processes e.g. 3D printing.
•Lead the implementation of Lean principles.
•Lead or assist with site initiatives to drive best practices.
•Deploy Safran Standards and train the teams to them.
•Develop and implement any required business processes and templates for the teams in line with Safran procedures and guidelines.
•Develop, maintain and be accountable for industrialization metrics in line with standard KPI's and communicate performance on a regular basis.

The expected salary range for this position is between $128,110 - $201,310 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.

Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
•BS in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
•Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience
•Minimum 5 years formal management experience required
Computer Skills
•Proficient with Windows Operating System®, Office XP®
•Knowledge of design software
•Knowledge of MRP/ERP software
Other Skills
•Knowledge and experience with AS9100 required.
•Experience with airworthiness regulations.
•Knowledge and experience working with MRP/ERP systems (preferably high mix, low/medium volume aerospace environment).
•Track record of deployment of assembly lines with complex assemblies.
•Experience executing work transfer projects.
•Knowledge of assembly lines with complex assemblies and /or processes.
•Knowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry.
•Proven troubleshooting skills in primary processes such as mechanical assembly, CNC machining, layup, bonding, electronics assembly.
•Experience with LEAN tools e.g. Valve Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, pull systems, standardized work. Preferably Lean Six Sigma accreditation Green Belt or Black Belt.
•Strong problem solving skills.
Specialized knowledge
•Experience in industrialization and/or manufacturing engineering
•Experience with Transfer of Work projects
•Leadership experience in Aerospace with direct reports
•Able to manage resource allocation and level load team work
•Project and general management experience
•Collaboration – Establishes collaborative relationships to achieve objectives
•Communication – Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Self-motivated and multi-tasker
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)
•Master's degree in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
•Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•Knowledge of business finance and cost accounting.
•Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assy.
