Position Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Manager, Logistics and Supply Chain in Lisle, IL to lead our logistics and supply chain sourcing team, and will be responsible for ~$700M of category spend.
This management role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance across transportation, warehousing, trade management services and distribution categories. In addition, this role will be responsible for collaborative sourcing strategies across brands within the Volkswagen Group and Traton brands.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and lead global sourcing strategies for logistics and supply chain services, including freight, warehousing, packaging, trade management, and 3PL partnerships.
+ Build and manage a high-performing procurement team of 6 employees, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
+ Drive supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure alignment with business objectives and service-level expectations.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance) to align procurement goals with broader organizational priorities.
+ Monitor market trends, risk factors, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
+ Lead cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and strategic supplier development programs.
+ Oversee procurement analytics, spend visibility, and KPI reporting to inform executive decision-making.
+ Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, sustainability standards, and corporate governance policies.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least 6 years of materials management or supply chain experience
+ At least 3 years of leadership experience
OR
+ Master’s degree
+ At least 5 years of materials management or supply chain experience
+ At least 3 years of leadership experience
OR
+ At least 10 years of materials management or supply chain experience
+ At least 3 years of leadership experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
+ Ability to prepare and deliver business presentations to executive leadership and peers.
+ Significant contract and sourcing negotiation experience.
+ Ability to analyze product costs and understand underlying cost drivers.
+ Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
+ Technical and/or business understanding of freight, warehousing, packaging, trade management, and 3PL services.
+ Ability to take responsibility for multiple projects to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
+ Demonstrated ability to formulate, communicate, and implement short and long-term strategies.
+ Experienced in effectively managing both internal and external relationships with cross-functional groups and suppliers.
+ Self-starter, strong work ethic and project management experience.
