    Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The Transportation and Trade Analyst will play a key role in supporting global distribution in accordance with import/export policies, processes, and procedures, and implement improvements as needed. We are looking for someone with previous experience in import/export/customs clearance operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve in a centralized, support role to Cordis North America.

    + Work within Trade & Transportation team to ensure timely facilitation of Import/ Export shipments.

    + Provide guidance and assistance as needed by other BU to assist in resolving Transportation & Trade issues.

    + Provide guidance to transportation partners and Brokers relating to the movement of cargo and the importation/exportation of products.

    + Follow proper import/export recordkeeping processes and guidelines.

    + Ensure compliance with Trade & Transportation processes, policies, procedures, and manuals addressing compliance with all US import and export compliance laws and regulations applicable to North American BUs engaged in importing and exporting activities, including, but not limited to, those requirements administered by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the Bureau of the Census, Food and Drug Administration, Canada Customs (CBSA), and Mexico National Customs Agency (ANAM) regulating imports and exports, and similar foreign government regulatory authorities, as applicable.

    + Support international BUs.

    + Other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    + 1+ year(s) of experience within an import/export department of a major corporation or similar duration of import/export hands-on operational experience in a forwarder/broker.

    + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or other relevant analytical or business degree, or combination of education and experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Qualifications

    + Experience with U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations, PGA regulations, Export Administration Regulations, Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations, and the utilization of these relevant customs and export regulations within theAmericas region.

    + Experience with Transportation and Trade systems connected through multiple ERP systems.

    + Experience managing domestic and international shipment providers along with providing internal guidance regarding import and export shipment transactions.

    + Knowledge of medical device industry.

    + Must be eligible to file electronic export information with the US government.

    + Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

    + Ability to develop internal and external relationships.

    + Self-starter.

    + Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

    + Computer savvy with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research.

    + Experience with JDE preferred.
