The Engineering Technician I is based on-site and based in NEOTech's facility located in Westborough, MA. Salary range is $28 - $32 per hour. Wage to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data.

Summary:
Responsible for assembly and inspection of press-fit components onto printed circuit boards, focusing on machine operation, process monitoring, and quality checks.
+ Role: Optimizes and maintains the press-fit assembly process.
+ Responsibilities:
+ Defines and adjusts press parameters (e.g., force, speed) to ensure proper connection.
+ Sets up and calibrates press-fit machines for different products.
+ Develop tools and processes for press-fit components across multiple assemblies.
+ Role: Operates press-fit machines and tools to install components onto PCBs.
+ Responsibilities:
+ Loads PCBs and press-fit components into the machine.
+ Starts and monitors the press-fit process, ensuring it runs smoothly.
+ May perform basic maintenance on the machines and report any issues.
+ Conducts visual inspections of components after pressing
Qualifications
Key Skills and Knowledge:
+ Technical Understanding: Knowledge of press-fit technology principles, including how components are pressed into plated-through holes.
+ Machine Operation: Ability to operate press-fit assembly machines.
+ Troubleshooting: Skill in identifying and resolving issues during the assembly process.
+ Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on precise h ole tolerances and proper component positioning.
Experience/Education:
+ AS in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
+ Computer literate (Microsoft Suite).
+ Basic mechanical drawing.
+ Ability to interpret specifications.
+ Working knowledge of industry standards: IPC-610, ESD, ISO 9002, and all other applicable ISO standards.
