CT Technologist – Night Shift, Level II Trauma Center
Tired of the high-volume scanner shuffle where patients are just another chart and you barely have time to connect? We hear you. Join **PeaceHealth RiverBend Medical Center** —a Level II Trauma Center where you're not just a tech but a crucial part of a patient's immediate care team. This isn't just another night shift; it's a chance to use your expertise to make life-changing decisions in a supportive, mission-driven environment. We offer three dedicated 12-hour night shifts ( **Friday–Sunday, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM** ) so you can lock in your schedule, enjoy **premium night and weekend differential pay** , and get back your work-life balance for the rest of the week.
Your Impact: What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for a compassionate **CT Technologist** to be the calm, skilled presence our patients need during critical hours. Your focus will be on delivering timely, accurate, and deeply human care.
+ **Be the Patient's Advocate:** Greet patients, listen to their concerns, and clearly explain the procedure before and after the scan.
+ **Run Critical Trauma Scans:** Operate the CT scanner to capture clear, diagnostic images for high-acuity trauma and emergency cases.
+ **Ensure Safety First:** Use the lowest possible radiation doses (ALARA principle) and perform necessary screenings to keep every patient safe.
+ **Support Life-Saving Procedures:** Assist physicians with interventional procedures, applying your knowledge of sterile technique (AORN standards).
+ **Own the Quality:** Acquire and process high-quality images, maintain scanner documentation, and ensure images are accurately filed in PACS/RIS.
Your Positive Impact
This role measures success by the quality of care and contribution to patient outcomes, not just the number of scans performed.
+ **Patient Safety Score:** Maintain a high compliance rate for radiation safety and pre-screening protocols, ensuring zero preventable patient harm events.
+ **Timeliness & Accuracy:** Consistently deliver high-quality diagnostic images and reports for the Emergency Department, supporting swift and correct care decisions.
+ **Patient Experience:** Receive strong feedback reflecting clear communication, empathy, and excellent procedural instruction.
Nice to Have
You’re already an expert, but if you have at least one year of previous CT experience, it helps you hit the ground running in our fast-paced environment. For this **critical night shift role** , we promote **inclusive self-care** —use your full **four days off each week to recharge** , whether that’s enjoying the Pacific Northwest's outdoors or spending quality time with family.
