    The Court of Administrative Hearings (CAH) is seeking to hire a Scheduling Supervisor. CAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts with over seventy-five full-time equivalents located in St. Paul and Duluth. CAH, with 34 judges, is comparable in size to the Ramsey County District Court with 32 judges. CAH has exclusive, trial-level jurisdiction over 200 unique areas of administrative law and workers' compensation. This means the decisions of CAH are appealable to higher-level appellate courts (Minnesota Court of Appeals, Minnesota Supreme Court, and Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals) and not at trial-level district courts.

     

    This position supervises staff responsible for scheduling CAH's Administrative Law and Workers' Compensation courts. Duties include ensuring all matters for both courts are scheduled timely, within the proper guidelines, and that all processes are followed. This position assists the Communications Director with court related website design, implementation, maintenance and management ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

    Minimum Qualifications

    To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below.     One (1) year of supervisory or two (2) years lead worker experience to direct staff and meet program objectives exemplifying the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively hire, lead, motivate, develop, foster teamwork, assign work, evaluate, discipline, reward, train, or manage direct reports. Experience must be in an office setting in a customer service role answering customer questions and working with the public.

    Applicants that meet all of the above minimum qualifications will be further evaluated on the following:

    + Database experience sufficient to collect, interpret, and present statistical data.

    + Experience administering customer service-related functions to ensure satisfactory service and problem solving for customers.

    + Experience interpreting contracts, statutes, policies, procedures, rules, regulations, rulings, etc.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + One (1) or more years of supervisory experience that includes directing and assigning work, managing and measuring performance, and managing complex/difficult customer situations by effectively analyzing and prioritizing work.

    + Experience performing continuous improvement projects.

    + Experience building internal and/or external website content using programs such as Tridion Content Management System, Dreamweaver, and HTML and CSS code.

    + Experience with state government systems.

    Physical Requirements

    Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force occasionally to move and/or transport objects. A sedentary job is defined as one which involves being stationary (or sitting) most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if being active and moving from place to place is required only occasionally.
