Palmer Food Services is looking to hire multiple Dishwashers for the upcoming busy holiday season! This seasonal position runs from October through January, offering an exciting opportunity to join our team during one of the most dynamic times of the year. As a Dishwasher, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, operating dishwashing equipment, cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and work areas, and supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Role and Responsibilities:

+ Live the company’s values by displaying our high standard characteristics and behaviors that lead to our collective success as outlined in our Values in Action.

+ Follow Daily Checklist

+ Clean facility floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming

+ Clean all entry doors, windows and surroundings

+ Collect garbage and cardboard and process

+ Check breakroom and guest restrooms at fixed times and take proper action if needed

+ Maintain scullery area including washing of all dishes, pans, etc.

+ Service, meticulously clean, disinfect and supply restrooms

+ Spot clean walls, doors, door frames, spills on floor, etc.

+ Clean breezeway area prior to opening

+ Engage in seasonal and special cleaning projects i.e. shoveling, putting umbrellas in breezeway, salting

+ Properly dispose of garbage, cardboard, etc.

+ Clean, organize and assist with any other items as needed or assigned by Manager on Duty

+ Present a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene.

Qualifications:

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Strong interpersonal skills, friendly personality

+ Ability to work as part of a team

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to handle direction and re-direction from Manager on Duty

+ Strong self-motivating skills

Salary Range:

+ $16.00- $17.00/ hour

+ Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit

+ Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced retail store environment, standing on feet all day
