_A Typical Day for an Activities Coordinator with Heritage House:_
+ **Program Delivery:** Research, develop, plan, and conduct a variety of activities and programs to meet the intellectual, social, spiritual, physical, emotional, and vocational needs of residents. Encourage resident choice and active participation
+ **Activity Facilitation:** Provide activities and events that support individual and group participation. Engage residents in determining and organizing ongoing events and lifestyle programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and events to ensure they meet the needs and preferences of residents.
+ **Family Collaboration:** Establish positive relationships with residents’ families. Utilize family input to understand and consider residents’ lifestyles and preferences in planning activities and events.
+ **Care Conferences:** Participate in Care Conferences to ensure the development and delivery of individualized approaches for each resident and documenting special interests, attendance, and progress.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Participate in the Quality Assurance program by submitting quarterly reports on identified goals.
+ **Mentorship:** Foster communication and serve as a mentor to household team members in delivering resident-preferred lifestyle activities.
+ **Documentation:** Coordinate and maintain systems of documentation to support programming in the dimensions of wellness. Complete required documentation, including MDS and other clinical components where applicable.
+ **Collaboration:** Collaborate with residents, volunteers, and team members on monthly educational programs and resident publications/communication systems, including the community newsletter.
