Description:
You will be a Fabrication Engineer at Lockheed Martin, responsible for building and assembling electronic hardware—from circuit cards and sub assemblies to wiring harnesses and cabinet level units\. Our team delivers high quality hardware to Engineering and Production, and you’ll play a key role in turning design concepts into reliable, flight worthy products\.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Fabrication Engineer, you will work both independently and as a collaborative team member to fabricate, assemble, and test electrical hardware that supports critical defense programs\. You will partner with Engineers, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors to ensure every build meets exacting specifications and schedule commitments\.
• Place and solder components on circuit cards and sub assemblies following blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides\.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses, including connector pinning, de pinning, and mounting hardware installation\.
• Integrate lower level assemblies into single or multi bay cabinet units for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas\.
• Interpret and apply MIL STD solder and harness requirements; maintain certification compliance\.
• Communicate any design or process issues clearly—both verbally and in writing—to supervisors and engineering teams\.
• Utilize software tools \(e\.g\., CAD, ERP\) and Microsoft Office applications to document work, track parts, and manage work orders\.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks to verify that builds meet all functional and safety standards\.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety and security procedures\.
• Act as a self starter, managing your workload with minimal supervision while

MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN \- This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance\.
Basic Qualifications:
\- 3 years of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product\.
\- Must have Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements\.
\- Experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from a blueprint, schematic, and engineering guides\.
\- Experience communicating issues \(both verbal and written\) with the design and/or the process requirements to management and or engineers\.
\- Experience with utilizing software tools and Microsoft products
Desired Skills:
\- Solder certification to J\-STD\-001, IPC\-7711/IPC\-7721
\- Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials
\- Experience interpreting and building to Lockheed Martin Test Equipment engineering
\- Self\-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
