Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties. *Job Summary* Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, registering patients, and maintaining records and accounts. Responsible for creating a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers and ensuring efficient office operations. Responsible for scheduling appointments which will provide timely, accurate, friendly, and clinically appropriate patient access. The Patient Service Coordinator responds to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and beyond, in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards. * Delivers exceptional customer service with the HHC brand experience. * Thoroughly review office schedules and obtain outside records and scan into the EMR system ensuring all pertinent lab work, testing, hospitalizations, etc are available for the patient’s appointment*__* * Schedules patient appointments and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit (referrals, x-rays, medical reports, etc.). * Verify patient’s insurance for “active” status by performing eligibility through EPIC; at times will need to call insurance carrier for verification and/or use web portals; obtain referrals as necessary*__* * Scanning all pertinent faxes for filing (ie: insurance approvals or denials)*__* * Welcomes patients in person, cross trained at the front desk, or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as needed. * Manages high call volumes. Follows Standard Work to ensure efficient patient experience. * Corresponds with clinical operations and/or providers as necessary. * Assist with WQ’s, Worklists and Inbasket messages to remain current This role offers the opportunity to travel between offices as needed—bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities. * High school diploma/GED equivalent, OR a minimum of 2 years customer service experience preferred * 1 Year customer service experience in a fast-paced medical office * Epic experience preferred.
