    Opportunity

     

    We are seeking a creative and technically skilled XR Designer/Developer to help shape the future of immersive experiences at KOHLER. This role blends design thinking, spatial computing, and real-time development to create impactful XR applications for product visualization, training, storytelling, and global collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design and develop immersive experiences using XR and VR headsets, XR stages, and spatial computing platforms.

    + Prototype and test in-house XR concepts tailored to KOHLER’s brand, products, and customer experience.

    + Integrate XR technologies into KOHLER’s design, marketing, and training workflows—enhancing how teams collaborate, visualize, and communicate.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align XR solutions with business goals and user needs.

    + Explore and evaluate emerging XR technologies through industry research.

    + Contribute to building scalable XR infrastructure for KOHLER studios worldwide, including standardized studio setups and cloud-based content pipelines.

    + Capture and process volumetric content for use in AR/VR environments and digital twins.

    + Support cinematic visualization using XR stages and immersive screens.

    Skills/Requirements

    + Experience developing XR applications using Unreal Engine and/or Unity

    + Solid understanding of 3D graphics, real-time rendering, and spatial computing

    + Experience with VR/AR/MR/XR hardware

    + Familiarity with 3D modeling and texturing tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, Substance, Photoshop)

    + Understanding of spatial UX/UI design principles

    + Working knowledge of C#, C++, or similar languages for XR development

    + Understanding performance optimization for both high-end and mobile platforms

    + Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce)

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines

    + Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation

    + Ability to work collaboratively across design, engineering, and marketing teams

    + Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, iterative environment

    + Passion for immersive technology and a proactive approach to learning

     

    Education and Experience Requirements

     

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Interaction Design, Computer Science, Game Design, Media Arts, or a related field with academic emphasis on product design, immersive media, or spatial computing.

     

    Typically has 0–2 years of experience in XR/VR/AR design and development, real-time 3D visualization, game design, or a related field such as interactive media, architecture, or consumer research.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location._
