Job Purpose
The Sales Trainer is responsible for working in conjunction with the Senior Sales Trainers and Sales Desk Management to deliver training to Internal Wholesaler Trainees and Internal Wholesalers. The Sales Trainer assists in the design, delivery and maintenance of instructional programs including the preparation of written and visual training materials and exams. Training is delivered through various mediums to include eLearning, classroom instruction, and individual coaching.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Proactively collaborates with the team to plan, develop, coordinate, conduct and implement a comprehensive training program.
+ Continuously evaluates the training program and collaborates with the training team to ensure the training program is in line with company objectives.
+ Assists in the coordination of the training schedules, facilitator and resource availability.
+ Updates training materials in response to business changes and new initiatives.
+ Provides individual coaching on presentation skills and techniques.
+ Maintains a system for updating training manuals such as scripts, presentations, and course handouts for training programs and/or presentations.
+ Maintains a system for monitoring training progress and documenting completed training.
+ Prepares, organizes, and maintains training materials and reference library.
+ Supports the development of associates in the Internal Wholesaler Training Program.
+ Supports the needs of the collective training team.

+ Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and practices.
+ Strong knowledge of annuity products and services, to include an in-depth technical understanding for training purposes.
+ Strong knowledge and demonstrated success of the sales process and various sales techniques.
+ Experience in training and development of associates.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly relay information, both verbal and written, to others.
+ Ability to collaborate and interact with managers at various levels to recommend training solutions.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications with an expertise in PowerPoint.
+ Ability to mentor, persuade and motivate others.
+ Ability to think creatively for new, innovative training ideas and methods.
+ Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years of experience in training/development/delivery, with a preferred emphasis on sales training experience and industry licenses required.
2+ years of financial services industry sales experience preferred.
Experience in group facilitation preferred.
Previous public speaking experience preferred.
FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 6 or 7 required.
