We are a SaaS operations and performance management team that drives mission critical initiatives to unlock topline growth and profitability. We provide data insights leveraging lagging and predictive metrics, curate and present key insights to business leaders, and develop and scale best practices across the IBM Software portfolio.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will:
* Data Reporting & Automation: Develop and maintain reporting ecosystems for financial analytics; streamline processes to meet evolving business needs.
* Performance Metrics & Business Impact: Analyze KPIs, identify variances, risks, and opportunities, and translate insights into actions that improve profitability through spend optimization and topline growth acceleration
* Advanced Analytics: BI tools, and statistical techniques to uncover trends, support predictive modeling, and deliver actionable insights.
* End-to-End Analytics: Lead analytics projects from scoping and data validation through analysis, dashboard creation, and recommendations that shape business decisions.
* Data Quality & Governance: Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through monitoring, validation, and quality controls.
* System Optimization: Use IBM’s internal EPM systems to build dashboards, frameworks, and reporting solutions that scale with business complexity.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Operations, and Business leaders on ad-hoc analyses and recurring deliverables, providing insights that support decision-making.
Required technical and professional expertise
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, or a related field
* 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles
* Proven experience with business KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to build clear, compelling presentations
* Track record of automating reporting pipelines or developing scalable analytics solutions
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and deliver results in an ambiguous, dynamic, and rapidly expanding environment
Preferred technical and professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models
* Exposure to predictive analytics, scenario modeling, or advanced statistical techniques
* Experience in cross-functional partnership with Finance and Data Analytics teams
* Strong SQL skills and proficiency with data visualization tools
* Experience partnering with SaaS Customer Success organization and performance management
* Experience managing topline bookings and renewal base data models
