    Key Responsibilities:

    The Senior Analyst - Catering Financial Controls leads key projects involving catering contracts, price negotiations and approvals, and cost analysis in support of our Catering Operations worldwide. This position will audit pricing submissions from our global network, which includes over two dozen vendors and over 120 locations as well as ad-hoc cost analysis of key catering initiatives. They set up price lists for new locations and vendors in our catering management system while processing pricing updates as required. Coordinate all pricing related to scheduled catering items and services. Audit and approve food product and catering service pricing per established contracts. This role is involved in ad-hoc pricing and menu cost analysis on an as needed basis. Key collaborator with vendors and caterers when handling pricing submissions, exception requests, missing pricing, pricing discrepancies and similar issues brought up by suppliers. Partners closely with Finance to report on out of period payments, forecasts, and accruals.

     

    + Audit and analyze monthly and annual pricing changes received from catering partners and vendors worldwide ensuring new and/or updated pricing is accurate according to specification ingredient yields and provisioning. Analyze pricing to confirm alignment with contracts and agreed upon food costs and enter new pricing into company’s catering management system.

    + Support negotiations with caterers for pricing and pricing methodology

    + Perform financial analysis for menu planning initiatives

    + Performs analysis on year-over-year pricing to ensure contractual requirements and adjustments are met

    + Implement the global bid, analysis, and award process

    + Support monthly accrual and company forecast, and the development of the annual operating budget

    + Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, provide training on pricing procedures, and support tasks as required

     

    Note: This is a Chicago-based hybrid role and will require in-office days 50% of the time. This position will travel up to 10% of the time.

    Qualifications

    What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    + Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a similar field

    + 3+ years of experience in Business, Finance, or related functional area

    + Financial acumen

    + Advanced Excel skills and experience manipulating large data sets

    + Strong negotiator

    + Ability to effectively work with other levels of the organization and outside suppliers

    + Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

    + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

    + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

    What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

    + 6+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a similar field in Hospitality, Catering / Food Services or Airline Industry

    + Knowledge of airport operations

    + Continuous Improvement experience

    + Experience working with informational management systems (such as Oracle, CAE, Coupa, SAP, etc.)

    + Knowledge of data analysis tools (such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

    The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.

     

    The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
